How to care for a hand-painted 1:64 figure
Last updated 2026-11-01

A 1:64 figure is about 2.8 cm (1.1 in) tall. Each Hand-Painted Figures piece is 3D-printed in resin and painted by hand with water-based acrylics, so the paint layer is thin and the smallest parts are thinner than a toothpick. A few simple habits keep it looking the way it did in the photos.
Handling
- Hold the figure by the legs or the sides of the body, not by the head, the hands or anything sticking out.
- Pick it up with clean, dry fingers. Skin oil and hand cream dull matt paint over time.
- To place it in a scene, flat-tip tweezers are easier and safer than fingers.
- Don't bend arms, weapons or other thin parts back into shape. Resin snaps instead of bending.
Sunlight and heat
- Keep it out of direct sunlight. UV light fades paint and can turn resin yellow and brittle.
- Keep it away from heat over about 40 °C (104 °F): a sunny windowsill, a car dashboard, the top of a radiator.
- Normal room humidity is fine. Avoid damp places like bathrooms and cellars.
Fixing it to a scene
- For a spot you might change later, use a small ball of removable putty (the kind for hanging posters) or a dot of white PVA glue. Both come off cleanly.
- Superglue holds for good, but its fumes can leave a white haze on paint. Use the smallest drop under the feet and let it air out.
- Don't fix it right under a lamp that gets hot.
If something goes wrong
- A tiny chip can be touched up with a fine brush and matching acrylic paint. Thin the paint with a little water and put on two thin layers rather than one thick one.
- A clean break in resin can be mended with a small drop of superglue. Hold the parts together for 30 seconds.
